Mexico

Weekend before last JS, our boys and a group of friends
had their Father/Son event. It was the same weekend as
one of the biggest snowfalls of the Winter?/Spring?. The
trip was cut shot and all were home by Saturday night.

Sunday JS announced "He was tired of the weather, work
and California". He wanted a vacation, someplace worm
with a sandy beach. After some discussion, he settled on
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I called the travel agent on
Monday, trip was booked Tuesday and we were in
Mexico by Wednesday, after a side trip to LAX.

WOW! The hotel was perfect, on the beach, great view,
pools and in walking distances to town, it was paradise.
We checked into our room, had dinner and called it a night.

The next morning we had plans, so off we went. When
we returned 10,000 half naked college students
(OK, it was just a couple of hundred) on Spring Break
had descended on our piece of paradise.
BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!.......BOOM!BOOM!
The Wizard of OZ, couldn't have seen this coming.

It was a sea of sunglasses, muscles, bikinis, tattoos and
Booze!!! JS had a big grim on his face and thought I had
planed the whole thing just for him. "NO and NO"
BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!.......BOOM!BOOM!

By six o'clock the music had stopped and the Winged
Monkeys had disappeared. Once again you could
hear the waves breaking on the beach and the birds
singing. After a fabulists dinner and margaritas, we
settled in for the night, after all this was a
"Relaxing Vacation"

BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!.......BOOM!BOOM!
The Winged Monkeys had found their second wind.
The night club "The Passion" apparently the hot spot
in "All of Cabo" was located in our hotel.........lucky us.
Two hours of the room rocking, we decided to join in
the festivities. We were on vacation.

Somehow Wranglers and Tennis shoes didn't quite fit
the dress code, but we would just blend in. JS ordered us
each a beer and we set back to watch the entertainment.
It was an eye opener, and after a few directed looks our
way, like we were setting with the Grim Reaper, we went
back to our room. So much for blending in, we had a
good laugh and were thankful our kids are grown.
Friday and Saturday were more of the same.

By Sunday the Paradise we had envisioned, quietly
lounging by the pool, cold drinks on the beach and
"no boom" was all ours. It was perfect. We can
proudly say we survived Spring Break and have
check it off the Bucket list. Not that it was ever
on the list.............. well not mine, anyway.

BOOM! BOOM...Boom..........boom..............boom

Hi everyone,...we can't complain, except for the really loud music it was a great trip "warm" and the winged monkeys were really pretty good. A little under dressed maybe... LOL
