I heard chicken wire buried in the dirt can help keep things in check...and I think they do sell some stinky stuff to dogs that you could spray on the wood to repel him??

That's what I'm afraid Bella Jo's gonna do when I get my new flower bed going this spring...right now the ground's too frozen to dig a hole.

Bad dog! But it's better than what cats do to flower beds! I put down flat rock on all the bare areas of dirt in my flower beds to discourage digging.
