I Had a Martha Moment !

I'm not sure what I should even say.
It just started out as " Oh, It would be nice to make some jam from the plums on our two trees." It took must of the day !!
First it's picking the fruit, washing the fruit, cutting the fruit off the core then cutting up the fruit, are you getting the fruit theme here.
Then "The Jars" there is a whole list of things that gos with the jars, that you have to do.
Oh!!! and standing over the "HOT STOVE" with the HOT FRUIT and the HOT JARS,
("I think it's time for another mid week trip to the cabin")
and the book can't stress enough that everything should be HOT!

Ya, Martha makes it look easy because she has ten thousand interns to do it all.

OK, I have to admit there is quit a sense of accomplishment, but if this is a mid life thing, "I'm over it."

Looks yummy! Should I bring a big loaf of bread so we can test it?

Sam if this was a mid-life thing - you would be putting the jam into the tub, running the bubbles and sipping champaigne - Oh Martha - could you bring Sam another cold glass of the bubbly.......
Awesome job. You are getting a head start on homemade Christmas gifts. (Need my address?)

Hi Sam! You have to admit, there is great satisfaction in looking at all those pretty purple jars! If you have too many tomatoes you need to jar them next... ha ha.

Cheers,
